Information stored on your device
- Work and pay information
- Jobs, wages, pay additions, collective-agreement selections, payday settings, shifts, breaks, notes, and calculated pay.
- Tax information
- Income year, municipality, region, tax table, tax rate, and any church parish or religious community you choose. Optional religious selections can reveal religious affiliation and are used only for the calculation you request.
- Study and app preferences
- Student-finance periods, notification preferences, and onboarding state.
This information is stored in the app's local database and processed on the device. If you turn on sync, your work, pay, tax and study information is also stored on Löning's backend, in the EU, under your account, so it can reach your other devices; notification preferences and onboarding state stay on the device. Löning does not send this information to RevenueCat or Firebase.
Network and diagnostic information
- The app downloads public tax, municipality, collective-agreement, and CSN reference files. Normal request metadata such as IP address, user agent, requested path, and time may be processed in server logs.
- Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may process app lifecycle and screen events, device and app identifiers, app and operating-system versions, crash logs, and stack traces. App business data is not deliberately attached to those reports.
- If you turn on sync, the backend keeps an account: a random identifier and a hashed session token for each signed-in device. Creating accounts is rate limited by IP address, which is not stored.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, the backend stores that provider's identifier for you and the email address it shares, and for Apple a token used to revoke Löning's access when you delete your account. Löning never sees your password.
We use this limited information to deliver reference files, operate and secure the service, diagnose crashes, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Service providers
- Cloudflare serves the website, health endpoint, and public reference files, and stores synced records and accounts in the EU.
- Google Firebase provides app analytics and crash reporting.
- Apple and Google process app distribution and platform diagnostics, and sign-in if you choose to sign in with them.
These providers may process information outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in their privacy policies, such as the EU standard contractual clauses.
Storage and deletion
App records remain in Löning's device sandbox until you delete them in the app or remove the app. On iPhone, iCloud or computer backups may include a copy according to your backup settings; Löning excludes its data from Android backups. Home-screen widgets can contain a local snapshot of upcoming shifts and forecast pay.
Synced records stay on the backend until you delete them or your account. Deleting your account in Settings > Sync removes it, its synced records and its sign-in details from the backend and revokes Apple sign-in; the records stay on your device. Turning sync off keeps the account, so you can turn it on again later.
Server logs and diagnostic records are retained only as needed for operations, security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations.
